Be part of a dedicated team that values teamwork, professional growth, and a strong commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. he Clerical Medical Office Assistant position is part of the Wyandot Medical Providers at Carey department and is a contingent role working approximately 16 hours per two-week pay period, primarily during day shift hours, Monday through Friday. This position requires flexibility to accommodate the practitioner’s schedule for vacations, time off, and call-offs. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong office, organizational, and clerical skills
  • Above-average computer, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal abilities, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions under pressure
  • Tact, diplomacy, and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Office Assistant training or experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as receptionist and clerical support, greeting visitors and patients and directing them appropriately
  • Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and obtain pre-certifications as needed
  • Perform general clerical duties including typing, filing, assembling reports, and maintaining patient charts
  • Order office supplies and manage inventory as needed
  • Collect payments and assist with billing-related tasks
  • Assist with special promotions, public relations activities, and patient scheduling for tests outside the office
  • Support practitioners and other staff with daily office functions
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and ensure efficient workflow
