About The Position

Under the direction of the Administrative Support Supervisor or Clinical Manager, the Clinical Clerical Assistant provides office support to team members to ensure efficient and coordinated service delivery. Communicates in a professional manner with public and staff. Position Specific Responsibilities Assists the clinical team by performing clerical duties in the daily performance of their duties. Assists in ensuring the patient medical record is accurate and complete in accordance with industry and ministry standards. Assists in ensuring the admission medical record is accurate and complete in accordance with industry and agency standards. Establishes and promotes positive working relationships both within the team, ministry and organization and outside agencies. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. Requirements

  • 1 year Office or field experience.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, team members, investors, and external parties. Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Language Skills: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces integrated healthcare at home philosophy.
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and basic medical terminology.
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with patients, potential patients, family members, volunteers, referral sources, staff and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of calls from staff, patients, physicians and community.
  • Sensitivity to and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to be flexible to the daily needs of the ministry.
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Good telephone/customer service skills.
