As a Clerical Assistant 2 you will screen and direct calls received on agency's main incoming telephone line, conduct an initial assessment or interview to evaluate the nature of the inquiry, and determine the appropriate service response. Additional duties involve accepting, separating, organizing, scanning, indexing, and reviewing for accuracy and files electronically all incoming daily postal and electronic communications received by the agency into the agency's content management system in accordance with written departmental procedures. You will communicate routinely with participating municipalities, members, or authorized representatives. Additionally, you will research and verify benefit and payroll information via the agency pension application system and documents the interaction in the pension system when necessary. Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
