About The Position

The Clerical Aide has primary job responsibilities in the office assisting with office duties, they also do lunch room and student supervision. To accomplish these tasks, the Clerical Aide works closely with the staff and administration of the district.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use computer, printer, copier, credit card machine, laminator, and fax machine.
  • Ability to observe and follow all school district policies at all times.
  • Ability to react to change and frequent interruptions in a productive and positive manner, meeting deadlines as assigned.
  • Ability to implement and follow all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
  • Must complete annual training required by district.
  • Must verify good health by passing a physical examination that includes TB and drug test as required.
  • Desire to continue career improvement by enhancing skills and job performance.
  • Ability to keep student and personnel information and records confidential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed.
  • Respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Distribute office passes and notes as directed.
  • Communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with members of the school district and community.
  • Operate and troubleshoot all office equipment.
  • Maintain a daily student attendance record on students and prepare attendance reports.
  • Organize information and materials with attention to detail.
  • Coordinate volunteers for various projects and events.
  • Supervise students, including lunch room supervision.
  • Prepare instructional materials and supplies for use.
  • Order school and teacher supplies.
  • Assist in the maintenance and inventory of materials.
  • Work effectively with students, teachers, parents, community agencies, and other groups.
  • Implement and follow all school district policies during all activities.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the teacher, Principal, or other administrative staff.
