About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Clearing Onboarding Manager to join the CORDS organisation and establish an onshore London presence for the EMEA IED Client Onboarding team. This role sits within Client Operations and focuses on onboarding Institutional Equity Derivatives clients whose products have transitioned into CORDS, including complex, multi product and project based onboardings. The Clearing Client Onboarding team partners closely with Institutional Equity Derivatives Sales & Trading and with clients to support daily onboarding activity, deliver new products and services, and drive efficiency while reducing operational risk. Client Operations acts as a strategic partner to the Firm's largest clients, enabling access to new markets, products and services, and supporting regulatory, clearing and margin requirements across Derivatives, Prime Brokerage and Institutional Securities. This role provides end to end consulting support to clients from pre trade through post trade, ensuring a smooth and controlled onboarding experience. Internally, the role is responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate setup of accounts, reports, entitlements and client documentation, while working closely with Sales & Trading, Technology, Legal, Risk and Compliance. The position also contributes to regulatory initiatives, new product roll outs and process improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance controls through technology, automation and data. As part of Operations, the role contributes directly to the Firm's first line of defence, helping to protect Morgan Stanley's financial and reputational integrity. The Operations division processes millions of transactions daily and plays a critical role in risk mitigation, client relationship management and delivery of high quality service that differentiates the Firm from competitors. This is an Advanced Specialist, Director level position. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of seven years' client facing experience in Client Onboarding or Client Services within an investment bank, with a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, products and markets. Experience managing large, client facing onboarding projects is essential, including providing clear status updates and escalating issues appropriately. A proven track record of delivering process improvements, building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, and demonstrating clear written and verbal communication is required. Familiarity with AI or automation tools to support operational efficiency is an advantage.
