About The Position

As a collaborative member of a small, highly autonomous team, the Systems Administrator will support secure enclave development networks. This role requires a strong background in both Windows and Linux environments and experience with virtual infrastructure and system hardening in compliance with DoD security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15+ years of relevant experience, OR High school diploma and 20+ years of relevant experience.
  • Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, Group Policy
  • Linux Server Administration
  • Broadcom VMware/ESXi, Virtual Networking, vCenter
  • Networking hardware (switches/routers)
  • NetApp storage systems
  • Security compliance tools: Nessus, ACAS
  • System hardening and RMF compliance
  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
  • Demonstrated experience in customer support, technical documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading VMware infrastructure deployments and support.
  • Proficiency in PowerCLI scripting.
  • Familiarity with VMware Aria Suite (formerly vRealize Suite) and Cloud Foundation (VCF).
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure system operability.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for systems administration.
  • Maintain baseline system security per organizational and DoD policies.
  • Manage user accounts, network rights, and access permissions.
  • Plan, execute, and validate system backup and recovery procedures.
  • Install, patch, and troubleshoot operating systems and server hardware.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Implement and enforce local network usage policies.
  • Troubleshoot system-level hardware/software integration issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards using tools like Nessus and ACAS.
  • Perform hardware repairs and system restoration as needed
