As a Cleared Security Officer - Aerospace Site Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a secure environment for personnel and assets. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and support access control procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports documenting observations, incidents, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or contractors to provide assistance and enforce site policies.
  • Remain alert to unusual activities or conditions and promptly report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
