About The Position

United Trades of America is seeking hardworking and reliable individuals to join our team for the cleanup and restoration efforts in the wake of recent natural disasters across Louisiana. As a Disaster Relief Cleanup Worker, you will play a critical role in helping communities recover from devastation. The role involves physical labor, working in sometimes hazardous conditions, and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in disaster cleanup or construction is a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with debris removal, cleaning, and disposal from disaster-stricken areas.
• Help clear and prepare properties for rebuilding efforts.
• Remove damaged materials, including furniture, appliances, and construction debris.
• Support specialized teams with site preparation and restoration activities.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Coordinate with team leaders and other volunteers to efficiently complete tasks.
• Operate tools and equipment as necessary (e.g., chainsaws, heavy equipment).
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
