The Cleanroom Assembler II at Crane Aerospace & Electronics is responsible for performing assembly processes under close supervision to manufacture products in compliance with military and FDA standards. This role involves reading blueprints, assembling components, inspecting finished units, and ensuring quality control in a cleanroom environment.

  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences.
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies using hand or power tools.
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications and customer requirements.
  • Mark identifying information on parts and measure parts to determine tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
  • Clean parts using various cleaning agents and set up applicable jigs and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with engineering regarding prototype or repair problems as authorized.
  • Train and check the accuracy of work of designated employees of lower classification.
  • 2-3 years' experience in assembly.
  • Fine soldering certification or equivalent experience.
  • Crimping background.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to interpret production or engineering prints and assembly aids.
  • Flexibility to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Desire to grow and learn to be cross-trained in different areas of manufacturing.
  • Ability to meet 2-8-minute takt time requirements in a high-volume setting.
