Cleaning Technician
About The Position
Hiring a full-time Cleaning Technician to work for a well-established production facility in Ashland. Excellent daytime schedule and competitive pay. Benefits available after temp-to-hire period concludes. FT/Days; 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday, Sunday, and two weekdays. $20.81/hr. The Cleaning Technician will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill, as well as properly removing and/or disposing of debris and waste materials in a safe and efficient manner. Employee will clean industrial equipment, production areas, and support spaces, ensuring the site remains safe, functional, and compliant with workplace safety regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and/or standing for long periods.
- Background check required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in industrial or commercial cleaning preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of sawmill floors, machinery, workstations, and common areas.
- Safely remove sawdust, wood chips, and other debris from work areas using appropriate tools such as brooms, vacuums, or industrial cleaning equipment.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces to prevent the buildup of materials or contaminants.
- Properly dispose of waste materials in accordance with jobsite guidelines.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment as directed by site supervisor.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
