Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Previous work experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to accomplish work tasks by a given deadline.
  • Ability to work with others to accomplish objectives.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to guests and other employees of the organization.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, which include day shift, swing shift and graveyard shift as business demands.
  • While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally sit.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
  • It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Cleans slot machines, slot chairs, rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, dining areas, kitchens, rest rooms, corridors, public areas, elevators, stairways, and locker areas.
  • Cleans and maintains departmental equipment and other work areas.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and polishes floors, cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, and cleans woodwork, washes windows, blinds, door panels, and sills.
  • Empties and cleans waste containers and ashtrays.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area and disposes of in compactor or recycle container.
  • Replenishes restrooms, kitchen and work area supplies.
  • Operates departmental vehicles and equipment to include vacuums, lifts, ladders, extractor, etc.
  • Transports small equipment, tools and supplies between departments or buildings.
  • Sets up tables and chairs in conference, event area or hall.
  • Reports maintenance concerns to Lead, Supervisor or Maintenance personnel.
  • Communicates with on-coming shift the status of projects, problems, concerns etc.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly.
