About The Position

The Cleaning Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our building’s office and employee areas throughout the day. They will empty trash, mop, sweep, vacuum, restock paper goods, wipe surfaces, clean and sanitize office spaces, bathrooms, kitchenettes, office areas, employee locker, boot, and break rooms. This position reports to the QA Manager.

Requirements

  • Valid ID
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to work with others to achieve production goals
  • Ability to arrive on time to on time, prepared for the workday
  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds
  • Work up to a 10-hour workday: standing/walking most of the day
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, weekends when needed
  • Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives

Responsibilities

  • Clean offices, bathrooms, and employee areas as needed
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Remove trash
  • Maintain cleanliness of areas
  • Supply paper goods and soap
  • Sweep floor and general pick up clean shipping office
  • Supply bathroom in shipping office
  • Pick up uniforms and organize bathroom and locker rooms throughout day
  • Vacuum outside bathroom and locker room area
  • Clean, sweep, mop and take out trash in lunchroom
  • Supply lunchroom as necessary
  • Clean and sanitize employee bathrooms
  • Empty trash in employee bathrooms
  • Replace paper goods and soap in employee bathrooms
  • Remain on call for emergency bathroom cleaning
  • Clean doors and windows
  • Keep glove, face covering and hair net containers full
  • Sanitize surfaces regularly
