This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will provide tactical and technical support to Engineering/Production/Manufacturing by performing functions associated with production operations performed in a clean-room manufacturing environment. Sets up, calibrates, and carries out preventative maintenance tasks on equipment. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Uses sophisticated programs to track and control components through the production process. Works with engineering in conducting tests, collect technical data, and providing technical reports. Requirements

• Experience working on fluid systems with applied chemistry fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail, desire to solve problems, and drive to resolve technical issues.
• Ability to lift items to 40 lbs. and use lifting equipment and machinery for heavier hardware.
• Must possess initiative, a strong work ethic, and a proven ability to follow directions and meet expectations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in precision cleaning of aerospace, medical, or other precision components.
• Prior experience inspecting aerospace mechanical components or fluid systems.
• Prior experience working in aerospace or associated fields.
• Prior experience working with technical work documents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods.
• Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment.
• Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems.
• Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods.
• Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment.
• Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
• Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area.
• Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment.
