About The Position

Kimberton Whole Foods in Ottsville is looking for a Part-Time Cleaning Associate! Schedule: Sunday 7am-3:30pm, Monday 7am-3:30pm, Tuesday 6am-2:30pm Pay: $17 hourly to start Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older. Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked. Job Summary The Cleaning Associate will be responsible for the cleaning and the maintenance of the entire store, inside and out. This position will ensure the store is sparkling daily, including those areas that are typically overlooked. This person will also ensure that the store is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. This person reports to the Store Manager. Daily Operations: Develop the interrelated systems and protocols to meet the janitorial and maintenance needs of the store. Responsible for cleaning all areas including: all floors and floor mats, glass doors on retail equipment & coolers, all restrooms and maintain supplies, outdoor parking areas, recycling areas, cart area and entry areas, walls, ceilings, windows, screens, HVAC vents, floor moldings, department shelving, under registers, shelf strips, café area, clean and disinfect tables & chairs, trash cardboard, recycling enclosures. Clean and address the needs of the breakroom. Ensure all trash and recycling bins are emptied, clean appropriate areas for registers, offices, and back-stock areas. Ensure scheduled maintenance of all cooling equipment, including condensers, retail cases (retail case resets and cleaning) in coordination with departments affected. Assist in maintain safe entrance and exits during inclement weather, including spreading salt and shoveling if needed. Work with Store Manager on equipment or supply needs. Coordinate work of subcontractors on an as needed basis. Ensure compliance with health department, OSHA and other legal guidelines. Ensures cleaning supplies are ordered as needed. Use environmentally safe supplies and forward safety sheets to Safety Committee representative. Follow through on tasks such as light painting and spackling, changing light bulbs, hanging and anchoring into drywall, plunging sinks, assembling carts, etc.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Full Sense Range (Vision, Hearing, and Sense of Smell) - the ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with customers and co-workers.
Lifting, Gripping and Carrying Objects - Up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools, and other products.
Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling - Stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
Walking - Short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
Standing - Prolonged standing.
Work Environment - Movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting).
Climate - Ability to work in cold environments (cooler, freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
