About The Position
The individuals selected for this position are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility in excellent conditions for all associates and customers. Spec’s Liquor is hiring a full-time Cleaning and Maintenance team member to keep our store clean, safe, and welcoming. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, emptying trash, performing light maintenance tasks, and assisting with store organization and safety compliance. Candidates must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced retail environment. Previous cleaning or maintenance experience is preferred but not required. Requirements
- State law says you must be over the age of 21 to work at Specs.

- You need the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals without the aid of calculator or abacus.

- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week.
- You need the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- You must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with proper tools.
- You must be able to use a industrial machine to move pallets up to 2400 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years of Janitorial experience
- high school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
Responsibilities
- Efficiently carrying out all the directives given by Management Team (sense of urgency)
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Clean, disinfect, and supply restrooms
- Remove waste and empty trash
- Routing 2hr disinfecting and sterilizing all facility
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Organize janitorial storage areas
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance
- Handle basic maintenance building repairs and other janitorial work
- Practices teamwork and cooperation with coworkers
- Seeks to continually improve related skills and knowledge to contribute to profitability and productivity
- Undertakes responsibilities with care and attention to detail
- Working in accord with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA
- Attendance and Timeliness is required.
