About The Position

Find your purpose joining CentraCare and the St. Cloud Hospital as a Hospital Cleaner (EVS), working to keep our patients safe and our facilities clean. We are seeking qualified Day Shift workers with good communication skills for various part-time morning shifts. This is a fast-paced position that requires interacting and communicating with others while sanitizing patient rooms and public spaces throughout the hospital. Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is ideal but not required. You will need to communicate fluently in this position as you will have direct contact with patients, families, doctors, nurses and other staff members that will need to conduct conversations with you in English.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write simple task requests and reports, and communicate well with others.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age due to handling of cleaning chemicals and operating mechanical lifts.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize rooms during patient's stays, and after patients are discharged.
• Vacuuming, mopping, changing bedding and re-stocking bathrooms.
• Work with chemicals and come in contact with bodily fluids.
• Wear Hospital Scrubs (pants) as required.

• Wage rates start at $16.98 per hour offering more with experience.
• Full pay range for this position is $15.36 to $23.04 hourly.
