Full-Time Janitorial Position – Irvine Library (Night Shift) We are currently seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team at a public library in Irvine. Schedule: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM (Full-Time). Pay: $18.50/hr. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for library staff and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is dependable, and works well independently during overnight hours.
Requirements
- Ability and willingness to work overnight hours
- Passion for keeping public spaces clean
- Time management skills
- 1+ years custodial cleaning experience or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Empty, clean, and damp wipe all waste receptacles as well as remove wastepaper and rubbish from the premises to designated areas.
- Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas, sweep or dust-mop hard floor surfaces, and damp-mop or clean spills as needed in offices, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, and public areas.
- Hand dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and all other horizontal surfaces.
- Remove all finger marks and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, private entrance glass, and partitions.
- Keep janitor’s closet clean, neat, and in orderly condition.
- Other jobs and duties as identified or assigned as needed.
