About The Position

General Description Provide day-to-day janitorial services to the assigned properties (Bath/Hornell & Mt. Morris). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Organizes common areas, keeping property free of clutter, cardboard boxes, and trash. Wipes down and disinfects all lobby tables, displays and commonly touched surfaces. Vacuums rugs or mops floors in lobby, pantry area and office spaces. Removes pantry and kitchen garbage daily from building, placing in designated containers. Cleans kitchen area by wiping down counters, sink, microwave, and non-pantry refrigerator. Cleans restrooms by sanitizing toilets, sinks, and mirrors. Restocks toilet paper and paper towels as needed. Completes other duties as assigned. Key Performance Measures Maintains property in manner that limits potential health and safety concerns. Provides friendly, helpful, courteous interactions with clients, vendors and co-workers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Clean and Valid NY State Driver License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A minimum of one year of professional cleaning or janitorial experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Demonstrate ethical business practices, in conformance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
  • Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.
  • Possession of a valid NYS Driver’s license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.
  • Continuous use of a reliable, registered and insured vehicle.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding tenant information and records.
  • Maintain honesty and integrity
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrate openness to flexible work schedule.
