About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Cleaning Crew Supervisor, this position is responsible for the detail cleaning of the front of the house areas and maintaining the back of the house areas, including the proper cleaning of kitchen equipment and hood exhaust system. May clean and maintain other divisions and operations under FCH Enterprises, Inc. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Scrubs and cleans all outside floors including eating area, walkways, and all baseboards around respective areas. Cleans, scrubs, and sanitizes all restrooms outside in the takeout area as well as in the restaurant, including the employee's facility. Washes and cleans all areas of the facilities, not limited to walls, windows and doors of the building, both public and work areas. Cleans all building structure fixtures that are out of reach or hard to get to, including all signs, menu boards, lights and vents. Cleans windows in high, hard to get areas, within the limits of safety. Cleans and maintains customer service areas; not limited to chairs, booths, hi chairs, decorations, counter top, etc Washes and cleans all carpets in eating areas or in the restaurant including the scrubbing of restaurant floors. Cleans and maintains roof exhaust fans. Cleans and maintains kitchen hood exhaust systems. Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and facilities. Ensures Equipment and Supplies are at adequate level requisitions new equipment and supplies when necessary. Ensures equipment is maintained in a safe and operating condition. Responsible for the cleanliness of all company equipment, including company vehicles Able to use all equipment and chemicals needed to do assigned tasks Ensures all job responsibilities are done in a safe and efficient manner. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Able to properly use all equipment used in their daily duties Performs various other equal level duties reflecting the same level of skill, knowledge, and judgment as assigned. Requirements

  • Scheduling: Flexible in scheduling
  • Able to work anytime because jobs must be scheduled at most appropriate and convenient times.
  • Physical Ability: Able to handle physical requirements of position
  • Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching etc.
  • Able to regularly push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Able to tilt, push, pull restaurant table booths on a regular basis
  • Mental Ability: Planning and organizational skills
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Passed a tuberculosis (TB) skin test within 5 years of the start date or negative chest xray
  • Pass a drug screening test and physical.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Must possess a valid type 3 Hawaii Driver's License
  • Must have own basic tools
  • Environmental Conditions: Work independently
  • Traveling will be required
  • Normally Cleaning Technicians meet at a central location and travel together to job sites
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience: Prior janitorial experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the cleaning area, preferred
  • Familiar with tools and equipment (i.e. ladders, scaffolds, etc.)
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Familiar with the use of chemicals
  • Be reliable and dependable
  • Action-oriented and ability to complete assignments on time
  • Willing to learn and develop the skills necessary to maintain and enhance operations
