About The Position

The Clean Sweep driver - CDL B (9-11 hours a day, overnight and Saturday availability required as needed) is responsible for servicing assigned route(s) while operating a motorized street sweeper to clean streets and other LRS customers within the Clean Sweep Division. The driver represents the company in a safe and respectable manner while servicing customer accounts dispatched to him/her throughout the day and communicating regularly with dispatchers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and understand a map
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the job such as prolonged physical exertions
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
  • Eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
  • Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire
  • Must not have any DUI’s or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
  • Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training

Nice To Haves

  • Previous CDL truck driving experience preferred
  • Waste industry experience is a plus
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department, or line of business

Responsibilities

  • Operate the truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
  • Clean streets, gutters, and other assigned areas (parking lots, construction sites, etc.)
  • Complete assigned routes
  • Communicate with dispatch as route changes or issues arise
  • Maintain and update route sheets
  • Conduct pre-trip/post trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain and update drivers log sheets
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers
  • Keeping truck clean and operating properly within driver’s ability
  • Other duties as assigned
