About The Position

The Clean Environment Division Supervisor is a critical leadership role within Medical Technology Associates (MTA). This leader is responsible for operational execution, technician development, quality/compliance, customer experience, and financial performance for MTA’s Clean Environment services. The Division Manager ensures work is performed safely, consistently, and in compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements while driving efficiency, accuracy, and growth.

Requirements

  • Experience leading field service teams in regulated technical services (Clean Environment/Controlled Environment, calibration, facilities compliance, biomedical, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, resources, and customer commitments across multiple sites.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems and documentation discipline (QMS/SOP environment).
  • Strong communication skills with technicians, customers, and senior leaders.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel as business requires.

  • Experience supporting an ISO-aligned quality program and/or regulated environments.
  • Technical understanding of Clean Environment service methods and field documentation requirements.
  • Experience with field service/job management systems and quality documentation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the MTA operations leadership team for the Clean Environment business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop field technicians and supervisors; build bench strength and a high-performance culture.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training plans, and technician progression/certifications.
  • Lead team meetings and operating rhythms (daily/weekly/monthly), ensuring clear priorities and accountability.
  • Support performance reviews, feedback, and corrective action when needed.
  • Plan and manage daily/weekly field execution, staffing, routing, and capacity to meet customer commitments.
  • Oversee complex/large projects and ensure strong coordination with customers and other stakeholders (contractors/subcontractors when applicable).
  • Maintain clear communication with technicians and leadership regarding schedule changes, resourcing, and service delivery risks.
  • Review job documentation for completeness/accuracy and resolve missing/incorrect information quickly.
  • Ensure service vehicles, tools, and test equipment are properly maintained, calibrated/verified, and job-ready.
  • Partner with MTA Quality to maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) relevant to Clean Environment work.
  • Support audits as required (internal, customer, or external) and ensure timely corrective/preventive actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable requirements, standards, procedures, and best practices relevant to Clean Environment services.
  • Ensure technicians follow approved SOPs/work instructions; drive updates and continuous improvement to SOPs.
  • Promote a “do it right the first time” mindset; accuracy of testing, documentation, and reporting is non-negotiable.
  • Own the customer relationship for operational delivery: responsiveness, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Maintain and promote customer service excellence; ensure concerns are escalated and resolved quickly.
  • Provide practical guidance to customers on service findings and compliance-related questions within role scope.
  • Support budget performance through labor productivity, utilization, travel efficiency, rework reduction, and schedule discipline.
  • Ensure timely and accurate job closeout and administrative compliance (time entry, service order completion, documentation submission).
  • Approve PTO per policy and ensure payroll/timekeeping accuracy for assigned team members.
  • Track and manage key operational KPIs (e.g., on-time completion, rework, cycle time, utilization, backlog, close-to-bill timing).
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Share technical updates and operational learnings with the team through coaching and training.
