About the position

We're hiring an Analyst, Clean Energy Program Evaluation to support the growth of energy efficiency, electrification, demand response, clean transportation, and other emerging clean energy initiatives in New York. You'll join our Evaluation, Measurement & Verification (EM&V) team to ensure our programs are effective, data-driven, and continuously improving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage evaluation research planning efforts with internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, track program budgets, and support stakeholder communications.
  • Coordinate evaluation studies, including vendor selection, methodological review, and budget oversight.
  • Collaborate with program delivery and strategy teams to design research, interpret results, and drive program improvements.
  • Analyze and report on program data to identify actionable insights and enhance customer offerings.
  • Ensure accuracy in energy savings tracking and maintain standardized formulas in alignment with industry methodologies.
  • Support continuous improvement by contributing technical expertise and promoting data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience in energy efficiency, clean energy program planning, or project management - or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Educational background in energy policy, engineering, economics, environmental science, statistics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and regulatory reporting is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with energy efficiency or demand response evaluation is a plus.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred but not required.
