Overview Nelson Mullins, an AMLaw 60 firm, is seeking a CLE Specialist to oversee the full life cycle of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming for the firm, ensuring regulatory compliance, high‑quality content delivery, and seamless coordination across attorneys, practice groups, and state accrediting bodies. This role manages the accreditation, execution, and post‑event processing of all CLE initiatives, serving as the operational backbone of the firm’s education infrastructure. A Day in the Life In this role, you will manage the end-to-end administration of the firm’s Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program, ensuring all firm-sponsored CLE activities are compliant, well-documented, and efficiently executed. You will prepare and submit accreditation applications across multiple state bar jurisdictions, track approvals, verify attendance, and issue certificates, while maintaining organized and audit-ready program records. Serving as a primary point of contact for jurisdictional compliance, you will research state-specific requirements, oversee reporting processes, and coordinate responses to accreditation denials, including preparing appeals and supporting documentation. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support accreditation efforts, manage program logistics, and track related expenses. Additionally, you will partner with the Marketing team to execute internal CLE programs and provide guidance on client-facing events to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional organization, a proactive approach, and a commitment to delivering a high-quality, service-oriented experience that enables attorneys to meet their professional obligations. We Know You The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of related experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. They bring a strong understanding of CLE rules, regulations, and accreditation processes across multiple jurisdictions, along with the ability to manage complex requirements with accuracy and efficiency. This individual demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, consistently meets deadlines, and effectively prioritizes competing demands. They are a collaborative team player who builds and maintains positive working relationships across departments, while also excelling independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in computer systems and relevant software applications.
