About The Position

Mother of Hope Hybrid Academy is seeking a passionate and faith-filled educator to teach a combined 5th and 6th grade classroom on Thursdays and Fridays. The ideal candidate will create an engaging, structured, and faith-centered learning environment while fostering academic growth and character development in students.

Requirements

• Experience managing groups of children in an educational or structured setting.
• Commitment to being a joyful witness of the Catholic faith and contributing to the Catholic identity of the academy.
• Teaching certificate is not required, but should have experience with elementary/middle education, classical education, faith based instruction or homeschool curriculum.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with MOHHA's curriculum.
• Provide instruction in core subjects, including reading, writing, and math, utilizing small groups with the support of a classroom aide.
• Teach additional subjects such as Nature Study, Latin, and Catechesis while incorporating outdoor recess in all weather conditions.
• Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment through effective classroom management.
• Supervise and engage students in both classroom and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning experience.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support student development and engagement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Support students' individual learning needs and provide guidance as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director
