Classroom Teacher / Special Education
About The Position
The Eastern Lebanon County School District is now accepting applications for the position of a Learning Support Teacher for grades 3-5. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction, interventions, and supports for students with diverse learning needs. This teacher will work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success, aligning with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and best instructional practices. Strong student engagement, communication skills (verbal and written), excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff members are desired. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, writing, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as well as leading IEP Team meetings with parents and school personnel.
Requirements
- Pennsylvania Special Education Certification
- Current Act 34, 151 and 114
- Strong student engagement
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff members
- All required clearances must meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education's mandated criteria for employment.
