About The Position

The Hebron Board of Education has an anticipated 1st Grade Classroom Teacher Long Term Substitute opening at Gilead Hill School, with an anticipated start of mid February 2026 through the end of the 25-26 school year. The Classroom Teacher works under the direction and supervision of the building principal and assistant principal where appropriate, provides appropriate instruction for all assigned students in accordance with Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules and regulations.

Requirements

• CT Certification Required
• Appropriate Connecticut State Certification for subject and grade level.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Master's Degree as per state requirements.
• Student teaching, practicum and/or state approved preparation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children preferred.
