About The Position

Computer Science / Technology Education Teacher needed at Joseph A. Foran High School. This position is available immediately. Salary and benefits per contract. We are looking for a qualified high school Computer Science / Technology Education Teacher who has knowledge and skills required to teach a dynamic curriculum.

Requirements

Certification: The successful candidate must hold current CT certification Technology Education Pk-12 (047)
Excellent oral and written communication and human relation skills
Applicants should be able to demonstrate knowledge base to teach: Introduction to Computer Science AP Computer Science Robotics 3D Modeling and Animation Engineering

Responsibilities

Design and implement lessons that provide opportunities for problem-solving, creativity, and communication skills in relation to authentic real-world problems
Establish clear learning intentions and success criteria for learning
Plan learning experiences to support individual students.
Utilize formative assessment to monitor and adjust instruction
Monitor and evaluate students' progress in relation to curriculum expectations
Stay current with technology education and pedagogy and seek opportunities to share professional learning with colleagues.
Organize and maintain records, manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.
Foster positive relationships with community stakeholders
Perform other duties as assigned
