About Buxmont Academy Buxmont Academy operates six campuses throughout southeastern Pennsylvania and uses restorative practices to support students in grades 7th through 12th in their academic and emotional growth. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff work collaboratively to create a healthy, connected school community. Excellence and relationship-building are at the core of everything we do. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in arts, education or related field
- Art teaching certification or the ability to obtain private teaching certification
- Open to candidates interested in becoming art teachers
- Retired teachers who miss the classroom are welcome to apply
- Desire to teach secondary school-aged students and adapt to their developmental needs
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to remain professional and tactful in high-stress situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Growth mindset, dependability, and commitment to ongoing professional development
