About The Position

The job of Art Teacher was established for the purpose of providing a variety of media for all assigned students regardless of their ages and needs. This position will require the teacher to plan and implement a variety of media that is age appropriate for a range of grades and adapt the art activities to meet the needs of a variety of students. The teacher will need to plan and prepare effective instruction as well as manage a classroom/learning environment.

Requirements

• Valid PA teaching certificates in Art Education.
• Special Education certification preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
• Ability to work effectively and regularly with a computer and computer programs.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Ability to function independently.
• Flexible and reliable.

Nice To Haves

• Special Education certification.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
