About The Position

Provide daily one-on-one support for a bright, high-functioning student with mild learning delays and ADHD tendencies. This role focuses on maintaining focus, structure, and engagement throughout the school day while collaborating with teachers and specialists in a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Background supporting students with learning or attention challenges.
  • Understanding of ABA methods or behavioral support techniques.
  • Reliable, patient, and adaptable approach throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an RBT, behavioral therapist, or SPED paraprofessional preferred.
  • Familiarity with OT, speech therapy, or related developmental programs a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support one student throughout the school day (~8:15 AM–3:30 PM, school-year schedule).
  • Reinforce classroom and therapy strategies for focus, organization, and self-regulation.
  • Apply positive reinforcement and ABA-informed techniques to sustain engagement.
  • Assist with transitions, routines, and peer interactions.
  • Record brief daily notes on progress and key observations.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents for consistent support.
  • Contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning space.
