Requirements

• One year of experience at a service desk providing technical expertise and customer service skills.
• One year of experience demonstrating knowledge of audiovisual equipment and interconnecting cabling.
• Certified Technology Specialist certification required at time of hire or within one year.
• Associates degree in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience managing students.
• Experience with software for equipment inventory tracking and checkouts.
• Experience with AV needs for event support.
• High degree of experience with Microsoft Office tools and communication tools.
• AV-related certification such as AVIXA CTS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the ATUS Equipment Loan Desk and ensure smooth equipment checkouts.
• Coordinate a team of student workers and manage inventory of audiovisual equipment.
• Provide tier-1 technical support and advice to faculty, staff, and students regarding AV equipment.
• Assist in managing the checkout software system, including tracking missing items and billing patrons.
• Support technical requirements for university special events and videoconferencing.
• Monitor Classroom Services communication channels and respond to customer inquiries.
• Prepare regular reports on items contained in the loan pool.
