Join our team as an ABA Classroom Behavior Technician (which we call Counselor) at our May Center School for Autism and Developmental Disorders in Mansfield and become a key player in shaping the educational journey of students ages 3-21 with developmental challenges. As a Counselor, you'll be an essential part of our mission to support children and adolescents in the classroom in achieving their goals and aspirations. In this role, you'll work directly with students exhibiting severe behaviors such as aggression and self-injury, using physical management and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety during crises. Your compassion and ability to implement intervention strategies will be critical in helping students navigate challenging moments while fostering a positive learning environment. While working together with our dedicated team of behavior analysts and educators, you'll utilize the proven methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assist in their skill-building and behavioral growth. Skill Building: You'll be instrumental in implementing personalized behavior intervention plans crafted by our skilled behavior analysts, guiding students towards positive behavioral outcomes. Direct Support: In the classroom, you'll provide hands-on support to students, fostering positive behaviors and encouraging meaningful social interactions that enhance their learning experience. Collaborative Teamwork: Join forces with teachers and fellow educational staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed. Data Collection and Analysis: Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you collect and analyze data on student progress and behavior, ensuring accurate documentation that guides our strategies and interventions. Participation: Dive into team meetings and training sessions, where you'll contribute your insights and expertise, staying at the forefront of best practices in ABA therapy to continuously enhance student outcomes.
