About The Position

Classroom Coordinator Job Description Summary/Objective The Classroom Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a high quality program through implementation of the Ardent Way and enhancing and exceeding expectations in all classrooms. Ensures curriculum is presented as intended by following developmentally appropriate practices. Ensures classroom environments are nurturing, clean, safe, and managed properly and that teachers are effectively carrying out classroom schedules and curriculum so that students are learning with confidence and competence. Essential Functions Take all new hires through the 10 Days of Training Carry out 15 Day Informal Evaluations for all new hires Properly relay changes to policies and procedures and distribute memos when necessary Ensure each classroom is adhering to Ardent Way Build relationships and communicate openly with parents, students and employees Understand and able to carry out general front office tasks (including touring if necessary) Administer Verbal Coaching Daily Tasks Relay front office information correctly to teachers and vice versa Provide teachers with encouragement and support and build self-esteem in all teachers Ensure teachers are adhering to the dress code Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods Ensure proper classroom ratios are being maintained Confirm classroom schedules are being followed, kept up to date and visible to parents Communicate with Director/Assistant Director regarding staff scheduling (changes) Ensure health/accident/incident/behavior reports are being completed correctly Social Media (depending on campus) Weekly Tasks Create and maintain staff schedule Provide training and instruction in the classrooms Meet with teachers regarding any goals or expectations Review submitted lesson plans (monthly) Ensure that curriculum is following the Ardent school calendar Verify reading circles are being performed consistently and correctly Staff Newsletter/Memo on weekly happenings/reminders Monthly Tasks Perform classroom evaluations-notify each teacher of their expectations Check integrity of classrooms Stay up to date with each student’s progress to ensure promotions are occurring at the correct time and communicate this to the Assistant Director Collect supply orders for the teachers (actual ordering depends on campus) Classroom Tablet Audit Verify Classroom Newsletters are completed and posted Quarterly Tasks Work actively with teachers to maintain high curriculum standards Plan off-campus/in-house field trips Complete any items on Quarterly Classroom Assessment Follow-Up Abilities Leadership Teamwork Orientation Compassionate Spirit Energetic and Outgoing Flexible Qualifications High school diploma 1-2 years management experience preferred or 1-2 years Ardent experience Successfully pass a background check CPR certified/1st Aid Certified Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday and hours vary. Extended hours may be necessary as needed to cover staffing during business hours. Your schedule will be a rotation of opening and closing the campus.
