We are seeking a Classroom Coordinator to teach in a classroom of students ages 7-22 with a diagnosis of autism. No teaching certificate required, just a bachelor's degree Classes are non-core, non-acedemic and include Art, Music, Communication, PE or vocational skills. A typical student at the Center for Autism is lower-functioning and non-verbal. Classroom size is 5-6 students with a staff/student ratio of 1:3. Schedule: Monday – Friday 7am-3pm with some occasional flexibility due to program needs. Job duties include: Instructing students, ensuring engagement and skill acquisition. Providing a clean, warm, and inviting classroom environment. Creating and implementing lesson plans Modeling appropriate behaviors for students.
