About The Position
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide care and educational services to children under the supervision and guidance of the lead teacher (Teacher I). This is a PRN position at St Francis Day Care. The role involves preparing and implementing educational activities, supervising play activities, meals, and rest time of the children, maintaining open communication with parents, preparing supplies and materials for classroom activities, and performing functions to safeguard the children’s wellness and safety. The incumbent will also report accidents and accurately record incident reports, obtain certifications as indicated in the Code of Virginia for child care providers, and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the child served.
