About The Position

As a Classroom Aide, you'll partner with the Classroom Teacher to: Assist in developing and implementing activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Support programming for children ages 3-5 in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards Ensure compliance with Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation, and Wisconsin Young Star standards Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community members Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Support multicultural and multilingual learning experiences Assist with daily classroom routines and activities Work collaboratively under the direction of the Classroom Teacher At Reach Dane, we're reimagining early childhood education as a powerful tool for social transformation. Requirements

Minimum 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Working with children ages 3-5, preferably in licensed childcare setting
Adult, Child, and Infant CPR within 6 months
Basic first aid knowledge
Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, flexibility for varying schedules
Completion of Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent ECE course) required by Wisconsin licensing OR must complete within 6 months (Classroom Aide I)
Completion of Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent ECE course) (Classroom Aide II)
Documentation of enrollment and completion of minimum one course toward Preschool Credential OR CDA (Classroom Aide II)

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in Hmong and/or Spanish
Experience with low-income, multicultural families
