Job SummaryThe Classroom Aide at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic School supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, faith-filled, and academically supportive learning environment for students. This position assists with instructional activities, classroom organization, and student supervision while reinforcing Catholic values and the mission of the school.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic School.
• Ability to follow directions, collaborate with staff, and work effectively with students.
• Strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and small-group or individual student support.
• Support student learning by reinforcing lessons, providing guidance, and encouraging positive behavior.
• Help prepare instructional materials, classroom resources, and learning centers as directed by the teacher.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times to ensure safety and appropriate conduct.
• Assist with classroom organization, displays, and maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment.
• Provide support for students with varied learning needs under the direction of the teacher or support staff.
• Communicate professionally and appropriately with teachers, staff, and administration regarding student needs and classroom activities.
• Uphold school policies, diocesan guidelines, and confidentiality expectations at all times.
• Support the Catholic identity of the school by modeling respectful behavior and participating in school activities when assigned.
