Lockheed Martin is actively seeking a Windows system administrator to support our Space business area unclassified & classified programs located in our Cape Canaveral, Florida, US offices. Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, troubleshooting, testing, upgrading, and decommissioning of data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations and a variety of desktop support services. Application support to program personnel is an essential part of the day-to-day responsibilities that ensures a successful synergy between program deliverables and the underlying IT infrastructure. The selected candidate will be responsible for the ongoing operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of multiple business applications that are hosted on the program systems. This is a non-telecommuting position that requires you to be on-site full time and includes some off shift work with occasional weekend activities. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including obtaining and maintaining Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance and maintain it throughout the life span of the position.
  • US Citizenship required for access to the work facility; no dual citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (i.e., Security+, CASP, CISSP) within the first three months of employment and maintain it throughout the life span of the position.
  • Experience administering Microsoft's Windows Server (i.e. 2012, 2016 or 2019) operating system functions, security policies and technical security safeguards.
  • Ability to move, rack, stack and install physical equipment by lifting up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree from accredited University.
  • Active DOD Secret clearance (investigation within 5 years).
  • Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CASP, CISSP).
  • Systems Administration experience supporting United States Government classified environments.
  • Experience with Windows Server user account management, administration, and access controls.
  • Experience in applying DISA STIGs and resolving security vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Fundamental understanding of the OSI model.
  • Fundamental understanding of authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, LDAP and NTLM.
  • Understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and WSUS.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet and SSH.
  • Installation and configuration experience of Microsoft Windows 10 or 11 workstations and peripherals.
  • VMware experience (VSphere, VCenter, ESXi).
  • Experience with networking equipment, network operating system functions, and network security hardening.
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco switching technology.
  • Experience with network-attached storage or storage area networks.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).
  • Microsoft Server 2016 certification.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification equivalent or higher.
  • VMware Certified Professional certification.
  • Cisco CCNA certification or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, configuring, securing, hardening, remediating, troubleshooting, testing, upgrading, and decommissioning of data center equipment, network switches, virtual servers, physical servers, client workstations and desktop support services.
  • Providing application support to program personnel.
  • Ensuring successful synergy between program deliverables and the underlying IT infrastructure.
  • Managing ongoing operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of multiple business applications hosted on program systems.
