ANSER is seeking a Classified Systems Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) who will build network infrastructure and develop all required security and compliance artifacts in close coordination with HLM. You will serve as the primary technical lead for configuring and maintaining the network, managing user access accounts, and executing the daily operational battle rhythm. Additionally, you will provide comprehensive support for annual DISA inspections and security reviews by maintaining full alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

  • Ensure compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and NIST 800-53 security controls.
  • Maintain all required security documentation for NIPR/SIPR/JWICS systems.
  • Maintain and update security artifacts (SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, etc.) and support ATO processes as ISSO/ISSM.
  • Install, configure, manage, and maintain Windows server environments (physical/virtual) and network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Manage user access controls, permissions, and accounts across secure domains—provisioning, deprovisioning, and auditing.
  • Provide technical support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues and optimizing system and network performance.
  • Monitor system health, perform regular system backups and implement necessary patches and upgrades.
  • Prepare detailed reports on system performance, incidents, audit logs, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure continuous operation of classified communications systems including VoIP, DVTC/VTC, and unified communications.
  • Coordinate effectively across multiple organizations (Signal Brigades, NECs, INSCOM, DoD CIO, DIA, etc.).
  • Support project planning and implementation for system migrations, deployments, and upgrades.
  • Use scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation, system management, and reporting tasks.
  • Maintain network services such as DNS, DHCP, and enforce secure TCP/IP configurations.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 8+ years of experience as an ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM
  • 5+ years of experience in systems/network administration within a secure environment.
  • Strong familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and other DoD cybersecurity compliance standards.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs, and system hardening.
  • Proficiency in network protocols and services: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
  • Ability to assess residual risk based on threat and security control implementation
  • Knowledge and experience working with cloud platforms and cloud security like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (classified environments preferred).
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience supporting INSCOM, DIA, DoD CIO, GISA, or Joint Staff missions.
  • Experience managing JWICS systems.
  • Experience with unified communications (e.g., VoIP, DVTC, VTC) setup and support.
  • Hands-on experience with IT project management, Agile workflows, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or Trello.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as: CISSP, Network+, Security +, ITIL Foundation, CEH, CASP or equivalent DoD 8570 compliant certifications.
