About The Position

As a key member of the RTX Global Security Services (GSS), Government Security Compliance (GSC), leadership team, the Associate Director of Security for Classified Collaboration Center (CCC) holds the primary responsibility for the strategic and operational oversight of all security-related functions within the CCC. This role serves as the principal GSS/GSC representative on the CCC Senior Leadership Team, ensuring alignment between program objectives and enterprise-level security strategies. The Associate Director will lead a team of security professionals across a matrixed environment, overseeing the execution of comprehensive security disciplines, including industrial security, communications security (COMSEC), physical security, program security and cybersecurity. This leader will foster close collaboration with RTX program management and U.S. Government senior leadership to address and resolve complex security challenges in support of critical national defense initiatives.

Requirements

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of security professionals in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Possess a minimum of a current, final Top Secret security clearance (a current investigation is defined as an investigation not older than five years).
  • Bachelor’s degree required – Major: Business Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field, and a minimum of 12 years prior relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.
  • Eligibility for additional access will be required from the customer.
  • This position requires extensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP); the Special Access Programs (SAP) environment and the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment.
  • Interpret and implement security requirements in accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other applicable special programs guidance.
  • Provide expert security guidance across all phases of program execution, from Bases of Estimates (BOEs) through contract closeout, to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess or be willing to obtain a DoD 8570 – IAM III professional certification (i.e. CISSP, CISSM, etc.) within 6 months of employment.
  • Experience with Periods Processing and Cross-Domain Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for all CCC security operations, ensuring compliance with government and corporate security policies.
  • Represent GSS/GSC as the primary security advisor within the CCC Leadership Team.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of security professionals in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external government partners to identify and mitigate risk.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the security function to support evolving program needs.
  • Interpret and implement security requirements in accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07, NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and other applicable special programs guidance.
  • Provide expert security guidance across all phases of program execution, from Bases of Estimates (BOEs) through contract closeout, to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Develop, coordinate approval for, and implement program specific security documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Security Addendums, Operation Security (OPSEC) Plans, and Concept of Operations (CONOPs).
  • Lead and support internal self-inspections, assess compliance levels, security control assessments, training, log management systems, automated inventory utilities and develop/execute corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Manage a range of program administrative functions, including personnel processing, visitor control, clearance verification, classified material control, document accountability, and investigations related to program-specific issues.
  • Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, and senior leadership across multiple strategic business units.
  • Prepare and support internal and external security-related briefings, reports, and reviews, contributing to overall program status updates and leadership engagements.
  • Oversee facility security operations for Special Access Program Facilities (SAPFs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in accordance with ICD 705; manage construction security packages, Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), and TEMPEST assessments.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to security team members, including setting career development goals, conducting performance assessments, and preparing formal performance evaluations.
  • Experience with national security information system related security requirements (e.g. NISPOM, DAAPM, DAAG, JAFAN 6/3, DCID 6/3, JSIG, ICD-503) to include technical computer/network system auditing.
  • Experience in the oversight and execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes
  • Trained and Knowledgeable in Assured File Transfer (AFT) processes and tools.
