About The Position

This position serves as a Classification and Compensation Analyst within the Classification/Compensation Section of the DHHS Division of Human Resources. The team of analysts in this section analyze classification and salary administration to optimize the Department's ability to recruit and retain employees in a wide variety of areas including health, administrative, and professional occupations. Job responsibilities include the following: Applying relevant federal/state rules and regulations in the course of job evaluation and salary administration, consulting with management on position and organizational design, drafting and gathering supporting documentation, analyzing classifications and developing thorough Analyst Notes, assisting with special projects, and daily use of HRIS systems.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with job evaluation processes and procedures related to classification, salary administration, or position management in an HR setting
  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems
  • Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution, or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Current experience working with the State's Classification and Compensation policies and procedures
  • Experience with Beacon/ Fiori / SAPGUI
