About The Position

Emory University Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology is seeking a Hematologist for an Assistant or Associate Professor role. Responsibilities include medical care of non-malignant hematologic disorders in the inpatient settings; supervision and education of trainees in the clinical setting, presentation of lectures as applicable. Qualified candidates will be experienced/prepared for above activities, also board-certified/eligible, and eligible for medical licensure in Georgia (U.S. training). This position will focus activity at Emory University Hospital Midtown (550 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA, 30308).The Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is a National Cancer Institute designated comprehensive cancer center. Hematology and Medical Oncology is a named department in the Emory School of Medicine, and its physician members deliver medical services in Emory Clinic, Inc. and other practice plans. Programs and services are located at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, and Emory Johns Creek Hospital, and also outside Emory Healthcare at the Grady Health System and the Atlanta Veterans’ Administration Medical Center. The new Winship at Emory Midtown facilities opened in 2023, comprising 17 stories and more than 450,000 square feet, is built around a patient's needs and comfort, bringing all the necessary doctors, staff and services to the patient. The care communities will focus on patients with specific types of cancer, providing specialized infusion facilities, clinical examination rooms, clinical research, and spaces for support and rehabilitation services.NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.
