About The Position

The Class C Box Truck Driver is responsible for ensuring timely deliveries of building materials to job sites, managing inventory in the warehouse, and providing excellent customer service. This dual-role position involves both driving and warehouse duties, requiring someone who can work efficiently, handle materials safely, and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

  • Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
  • Able to conduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the company.
  • Basic math and organizational skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required but preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma. GED, or equivalent
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, delivery, or logistics role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a 16-24 foot box truck to deliver cabinets and building materials to local customers and job sites.
  • Plan delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload cabinets and materials in a safe and organized manner.
  • Verify accuracy of deliveries, ensuring all materials match the delivery orders.
  • Maintain delivery logs and report any delays, accidents, or issues with deliveries.
  • Perform routine inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition (checking fluid levels, tires, lights, etc.).
  • Comply with all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking building materials in the warehouse.
  • Prepare orders for delivery or pick-up, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Conduct periodic inventory checks and assist with inventory management.
  • Assist customers with picking up materials from the warehouse when needed.
  • Performs additional tasks as may be assigned.
