Class B Truck Driver

Trillium Drivers is currently seeking CDL Class B Truck Drivers for long-term work opportunities. The schedule for this position is Tuesday through Friday from 6 AM to 5 PM, and it is a temp-to-hire role. As a Distribution Driver Class B, you will be responsible for delivering products to various clients, including bars, restaurants, hotels, and other customer locations. This role requires you to inspect the general condition of the vehicle, prepare, load, unload, operate, and clean vehicles while adhering to all safety precautions in accordance with client and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines. You will also be responsible for reviewing standing orders, developing sales, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. Your daily responsibilities will include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle, receiving payment for goods delivered, sorting merchandise by invoice for delivery, and ensuring the safe and courteous operation of the delivery vehicle at all times. You will check in money and returned goods daily with the Driver Check-in & Accounting Cashier, complete all required paperwork including the DOT logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR), and report to work in adherence to company uniform standards. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations while performing your duties in a safe manner. Additionally, you will plan trip logistics, obtain necessary documents for transporting goods, load and unload cargo while ensuring safety equipment is utilized, and secure cargo properly in compliance with safety requirements. Reporting any incidents to the dispatcher and following all traffic laws are also critical aspects of this role. Maintaining the vehicle, product, and equipment in a tidy and good working order is essential, and you may be required to perform other related duties as assigned. The pay rate for this position is $19 per hour.
