About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is Now Hiring CDL B Roll Off Truck Drivers in Paterson, NJ. Safety is our first priority! We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of Roll Off experience in the waste services industry. Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
• Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public and understand highway traffic signals.
• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in navigating congested communities and performing highly skilled backing maneuvers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front, side, or rear-loading trucks for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
• Transport material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, making one or more trips throughout the shift.
• Perform pre and post inspections of the truck to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver up to 100 pounds as required.
• Navigate through congested communities and confined areas in city locations.
