The Driver is responsible to organize and coordinate daily transportation service for the residents of Paradise Valley Estates and for the business needs of the facility. As a member of the Logistics team, the Driver will contribute to an uplifting and positive atmosphere on the vehicle and on the PVE campus. The Driver will do whatever is necessary, within reason, to provide excellent customer service for the passengers in his/her vehicle. Driver will do daily safety checks on the vehicle in use, check safety supplies on the vehicle, and will assist the Wellness Coordinator and/or Assistant to ensure the safety of each person when transporting them off campus for any reason.

Requirements

Proof of valid California Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement and no moving violations for 10 years required.
Must maintain a current valid Department of Transportation medical examination certificate.
Valid CPR and First Aid Card or ability to become certified on the job.

Responsibilities

Provides transportation services and assistance to people residing at PVE, adhering to Board approved policies and all federal, state, and local regulations.
Assists residents safely in and out of PVE vehicles and ensures all seat belts are fastened prior to moving vehicle.
Plans the most effective route to destinations in advance of travel.
Other duties as assigned.
