About The Position

If so, consider being the Temporary Class B Driver for the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Join our friendly, collaborative, and hardworking operations team, reporting to the Associate Director of Marin Operations. The Class B Driver will drive Food Bank trucks to make prompt deliveries and pick-ups of donations and complete the related paperwork in a timely fashion and perform daily warehouse duties as assigned. Who You Are: To excel in this position, you will need to approach the work with the following habits and values: You are a professional driver in possession of a valid California Class B Drivers’ License with air brake endorsement. What You Would Be Accountable for: The Class B Driver will be responsible for the following key pieces of work: The Class B Driver is needed at our Marin facility to help provide additional support in food deliveries and pickups to our partners and pantries in Marin county. What You Would Be Doing Right Now: Use of issued electronic Tablet for routing and cell phones for communicating with Dispatch. Drive commercial Food Bank vehicles to accomplish all donation pick-ups, product deliveries, Emergency Food Box delivery, and food drive barrel delivery/pick-up. Perform count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded. Drive to and deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule. Use material handling equipment (stand up forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) in a safe manner to perform all daily warehouse duties: receiving, storage, agency order pulling, salvage, produce sorting, and receiving. Maintain vehicle preventative maintenance logs. Maintain an organized and sanitary facility. Monitor equipment condition and maintain equipment logs. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned. Ability to maintain a clean driving record with a high level of safety awareness on the roadways. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year driving experience in the bay area preferred. Previous warehouse experience a plus. POSITION COVERD BY OPEIU LOCAL 29 BARGAINING UNIT. SALARY This is a temporary, full-time position expected to last approximately 90 days from the start date, with the possibility of extension based on business needs. The starting salary for this position ranges from $30.18, with exact salary depending on experience.
