About The Position

Quicksilver Express Courier is seeking a safety-focused Class B CDL Box Truck Driver with Hazmat endorsement to be part of our team. This role is responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of packages and palletized freight to customers in the region. As the face of Quicksilver, drivers provide reliable, courteous service while ensuring all equipment is inspected, maintained, and operated safely. This is a W2 employee position — all drivers at Quicksilver are employees, not independent contractors.

Requirements

Must be literate and communicate in English.
6-8 Months Class B experience
Hazmat endorsement required for a Box Truck driver
7 year proven safe driving record. No more than 1 minor moving violation within the last 5 years or DUI/Careless Driving within 5 years.
Ability to lift 70-99 lbs. regularly as required.
Hand load/unload material as required.
Walking and climbing stairs.
With the assistance of a manual pallet jack; push, pull, move pallets of material weighing up to 3,000 lbs.
Be able to sit in vehicle for extended periods of time and move in and out of vehicle as needed.
Must pass a Clearinghouse check through FMCSA.
Pass Department of Transportation physical, a drug and alcohol test. (when required).
Pass a Work Simulation screening. (when required)
Smartphone dispatch and communication application (Smart Phone Required)

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class B vehicle for local pickups and deliveries
Class B Box Truck requires a Hazmat endorsement
Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain safe driving practices
Load, unload, and handle freight with care, using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and lift gates
Use a smartphone dispatch application to receive and complete assignments (training provided)
Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and coworkers
Complete the required DOT and company paperwork accurately
Adhere to DOT regulations, including hours of service, breaks, and rest requirements
Deliver freight safely and in a timely manner.
Know, understand and follow all company policies.
Be available to work on-demand and some after-hours, clearing any changes with supervisory personnel.
Uniform shirt, ID badge and Safety Boots must be worn at all time while on the job.
Follow current DOT regulations, Complete DOT/Quicksilver paperwork, Follow DOT break/lunch requirements
