What You'll Do: This role involves operating a flatbed straight truck equipped with a piggyback forklift (aka Moffett) to transport and deliver loads safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Two years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with a 26' flatbed is required.
  • Valid Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Class B truck driver, flatbed experience required.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
  • Ability to lift and handle packages of various sizes and weights.
  • Clean driving record and roadside inspection history.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have and maintain a verifiable Commercial Class B Driver’s License, demonstrated safe driving record, and remain insurable through the company’s liability insurance carrier as applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a piggyback forklift (aka Moffett) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a flatbed straight truck with a piggyback forklift to transport goods and materials
  • Secure loads using straps and/or chains and ensure safe delivery to designated locations
  • Perform loading and unloading procedures at job sites.
  • Ensure safe loading, unloading, securement, and transport of freight using a piggyback forklift.
  • Verify the contents of loads against shipping documents and confirm accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and ensure timely reporting.
  • Perform routine truck/forklift inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, road laws, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by always maintaining professionalism.
  • Wear company provided uniform.
