About The Position

Garden State Tile is seeking an exceptional CDL Class B Driver/Delivery to join their team. This role involves safely and efficiently driving a commercial vehicle to transport products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing the highest level of concierge customer service in a timely and accurate manner. The driver will be responsible for unloading and loading freight off the vehicle. Excellent customer service skills are a must. The position is based out of the Savannah Distribution Center, with deliveries in Charleston SC, Columbia SC, and Savannah GA and surrounding areas. The Savannah Warehouse and Southern Distribution Center is equipped with state-of-the-art wireless warehouse technology using Epicor Prophet 21 and is open to both trade professionals and the public.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
• Valid Health Card
• Excellent customer service skills
• Comfortable using a forklift, reach truck and pallet jack
• Willing to be flexible and have a TEAM attitude
• Clear results of a standard background check
• Drug Testing (if safety-sensitive or transportation related)
• Driving Records check (if safety-sensitive or transportation related)

Responsibilities

• Deliver material in a safe and sufficient manner
• Load and unload trucks with appropriate equipment
• Run own route to make the most efficient delivery to customers, and/or job sites and vendors pickups
• Assist in warehouse as needed
• Provide superior customer service during the delivery process
• Safely navigate issues that may occur during the delivery process
• Obtain signatures on the BOL when making a delivery
• Be diligent with pre-trip and post-trip process and timely report any issues with vehicles
• Go above and beyond in providing extreme concierge customer service to every client
